Is Black pen mandatory in exams ?

it is not mandatory, i have write my accounts exam in blue ink got 50 marks.

to avoid unnecessary mental worry, please write in black ink.

I know it sounds stupid, but the thing is I heard it personally from the mouth of a reputed CA Faculty. I now know what his reputation is worth. So I had to ask......

Since your exams are in May. 2010 You must be worried about your studies rather then

Hey frnds dont take it lightly.....................in june exam when I was appearing for Pcc I went with only black ink pen............but in exam hall they show me a notification. In that notification institute said to use only Royal blue ink.....................plz confirm whether this will be applicable for NOV exam or not................How ever I manage to write with blue ink......................

black ink is no more required by the institute.Plz confirm urself from institute...................its very serious matter

Just read the instruction sheet which ICAI sends along with the Admit card. That wud suffice.

 In the instuction sheet provided by ICAI along with the admit card it is written that we can use either blue or black ink for writing answers but not in any other ink. However, when I wrote the June 09 exams  I wrote my roll no. and other details in black ink when the invigilator came and asked me to write in blue ink only. She also showed me instruction sheet provided to invigilators where it was given that candidates should use blue(Royal Blue) ink only. Thus, the instructions provided to the candidates and to the invigilators are contradictory and confusing . Hence, it is advisable to carry both blue as well as black ink pen as I luckily did this time.
