Hello,
Yes. A foreigner can promote a private limted company in India provided
1. It should not be restricted sectors of FDI. He can indulge in business in business under automatic approval route for FDI.
2. If he wants to repartriate later funds , it has to routed through foreign country through normal banking channels.
