Ipcc study material help!

Hi, I was wondering if the study material provided by the ICAI is enough for IPCC tax and advanced auditing preparation? I'm doing self study and want to be fairly thorough with these subjects. However, the books of other authors appear too lengthy. Please help. I'm due in May 2014.

ICAI study material is complete and sufficient for Audit, as far as acc and tax is concerned you have to have reference books. My suggestion -

Tax- Girish Ahuja

Acc- Shukla Grehwal or Paduka

Thank you for your reply. So, the ICAI study materials are not ideal for tax and accounts? Actually, since there's only 2 months left, I don't have enough time to practice many illustrations which are the forte of reference books, right? So, I was just hoping to get a firm grip on the concepts.

but clearly saying study inst. material first and then my mail... these are just for exams a short note...
