if any student in old scheme who have given exams not cleared now converts into new scheme he will be eligible for nov 2018 exams but can he give the exams in may 2018 in old scheme after conversion. as he does not want to miss a attempt.

No. Once you opted new scheme, there is no way to go back. I suggest you to try clearing IPCC under old course coz it is easier and contains 7 subjects.
