IPCC Help

I am appearing for IPCC in Nov 2010 (Grp I & II) and i had these question in my mind that I wanted to clear:

1. Are Calculators allowed in the examination hall?

2. How long is the duration during which the 2 groups are held? 7 to 8 days?

3. How do I go about with my studies. Should I study a little bit of each subject every day or should I finish one subject (say Accounts) first and then start the other subject?

4. Which subjects are the scoring subjects? Which subject do I spend more time studying?

5. Which books do I refer? Is Institute Study Material sufficient?

6. Where can I get problems to solve for practice (along with solutions) ? What is a scanner / compiler?

7. How much of the exams consists of solving practical problems and how much is theory?

How much of "rote learning" is necessary? Do we need to remember each and every section etc.?

I would appreciate all to help me out and guide me...

Thanks & Regards,

RJ

hi

1. Yes caculators are allowed in IPCC exame

2. As in IPCC you have 7 subject than it will take 14 days to get over all the subjects. In this exame you will have 1 day exame and 1 day off.....

3. As I will recomend to study little bit of 2-3 subject everyday becase 1st thing you will not get bored while reading different subject and Its my experiance when we study and complete one subject and close that book but after some time we have to start it again while revision..... so it is better you decide 2-3 subject and complete that in one short. but keep revising that even when you start other subject.

4.As in group I, Scoring subjects are Accounts I becase it contains all easy chapters... and in costing and FM it is better to do theory part 1st becase it contains 40 marks weightage. and in group II you have to strugle with IT and SM so prepair your Acc II very well to score good marks.

5. Institutes material is more than sufficient but it will take time to finish that. for Audit you can reffer Paduka its too good for audit. for Law its better if you do from modual becase institute is asking now more of practicle based questins so if your concept is good than you can esily score good marks. for SM also you can refer Paduka.

6. Have join any clases>????????

Thanks Nalini Tiwari for your reply.

No, I have not joined any classes as I am also working and will have to juggle my study time with work. I have taken a sanction for half-day leaves from April 2010 till Nov 2010 exams.

I have also taken the Orientation Program, but have not yet registered for 100 hours ITT. Someone was telling me that perhaps now we can take ITT after appearing for papers but before results are declared?

Is it true that "now we can take ITT after appearing papers but before results are declared" ??

I Think its not like you can do your ITT After giving your exame but its like if you have registered yourself with institute for ITT and Orientation but its not possible for you to complete these 2 course due to unavailibility of batches by institute than you are allowed to give IPPC exame and after that complete your ITT. It is advoicable to join ITT before exame since in Mumbai getting batch for ITT is difficult. so try to get registered ourself and 1 more thing since our IT sylabus and ITT portion are same so it will benefit you for your exame also. best of luck for your exame,
