Is it compulsary that invoice issued to be sequential or different categories can have different series.
like for domestic sale and export sale need to be in continuation or can have different invoice no for their respective categories?

As per Rule 46 of CGST Act Yes you can use multiple series

YES YOU CAN HAVE 

LIKE 

for the exports you may use Bill1/e . Bill2/e etc 

and for other you may use different series like Bill1/Local etc
