wanted to know, basic and general information about
1. current laws, provisions that Legally allow Investment into Foreign Stock market (not in terms of investment limit) remittance of profits into Indian Bank account
2. current laws that provisions allow Investment into Crowd funding in Foreign Countries & remittance of profits into Indian Bank account
for both Indian Citizens Residing in India & Residing overseas,
Foreign Stocks: Indian residents can legally invest via the RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), and profits can be brought back to India. NRIs can invest freely using overseas funds and remit profits to NRE/NRO accounts.
Foreign Crowdfunding: This is generally restricted/not permitted for Indian residents via LRS due to strict FEMA guidelines. NRIs can participate using their foreign income and freely remit the returns back to India.
