hi,

definately IB is a big area today . the area which you should zoom down are corporate finance like knowledge of debt instruements, concepts like enterprise value basically you should be through with entire finance you have in your syllabus + you can see things like due dilliegence and financial audit etc

IB is surpassin the old arena of solo banking which today is being supported by investmnt bankin . but if for that it is to be done 1 need to evaluate and consider the other investmnt related issue which are undertaken in bankin dept. recentlii Mr deora had posted a topic which emphasised and envisiged the prime need of investmnt bankin . but all for on the issue  bankin dept must be combinded and jointly to be evaluated with the investmnt  issues.
