What are inventory items for a financial enterprise like bank, finance etc?

you won't find inventory accounts receivable payable instead mostly loans and investments made by bank
am I right?

I heard that the collateral against loans provided to public which are to be sold by the bank on the event when customer couldn't pay back the loan has to considered as inventory. So i want to be sure about it.

how can a bank show a collateral which is neither purchased nor acquired by bank instead the loan amount already appears as an asset
