Invalid xml. please generate using latest utility

No problem in uploading any of the XML files 2 or 3 encountered till date........... even  from google Chrome.......

Clean cookies, update Java utility, then extract newly download ITR utility ........ Validate before saving............ Good luck.....

Download java utility again and simultaneously updates Java in your system.

if you had done this and still facing the same problem then do one thing use ITR utility for uploading ITR. There is a facility in utility to submit itr instead of generating X M L and uploading it from income tax website.

Hello Am trying to file for AY 2017-18 using excel utility of ITR-2. Am getting this error for more than a week, anyone else facing the same issue. Any help on this would much be appreciated.

Had raised the issue with IT service Help Desk. The reply from them worked. Following is the reply

Thank you for contacting e-Filing Helpdesk.

If you are using Windows OS 8/8.1 MS office version 2013 /2010 /2007, then kindly follow the below mentioned procedure
 Install .Net 3.5 Framework (https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=21)
 Restart the System
 Download fresh Excel Utility and try to generate the XML.

Thanks for helping me out with suggestions. I wrote to efiling web manager and this is what they wrote back to me. Post installing .NET framework , i was able to upload the newly genrated X M L without any issues

Dear Taxpayer,
The XML does not contain the value for the tag <digest>. This may be due to non installing the .Net Framework Version 3.5 or disabled the .Net Framework Version 3.5 .
Please Install the .Net Frame Work Version 3.5 or enable the same in the PC used for generating the XML.
After that open the utility containing the data, generate the XML and upload the same.

Hello, 

We are using latest windows operating system with latest MS Excel and .NET Framework. Excel file was extracted to create XML, saved the XML file. Still not able to upload the XML file. 

The error message is "Invalid XML. Please generate XML again using latest utility." Please help resolve the issue.
