1. Can a practising Chartered Accountant, who has managment consulting assignment with a large private limited company, accept appointment as Internal Auditor for the same Company?
2. If so, can the fees charged for Internal audit work be less than that charged for management consultancy work?
3. Can he charge a consolidated amount which includes both internal audit and management consultancy work?
There are no limitations (As per Companies Act 2013) for the function of Internal audit. Whereas as per section 144 external auditors are not allowed to give any service of internal audit as well as management consultancy service.
Fee depends on the quality, quantity and expertise of the CA.
