How do you treat if a company declares and paid Interim dividend But finally results in loss. Where there is no reserves and P&L credit balance.

The interim dividend is declared on a conservative assessment of profits. You have to indicate the background in which the same was declared. Also indicate whether the company has accumulated profits
Are there any consequences or penalties the Company has to face as at the year end .
There are no accumulated reserves in the Company.
