An assessee is a co-applicant for home loan. The property is in the name of father-in-law of assesee. The assesee is paying instalment through his own bank a/c & home loan taken by his father-in-law. My question is that whether assesee can avail u/s 24(b) for interest paid on home loan upto 2 lac?
