Dear All,

One of my client son repaying housing loan taken from bank but property was registered in the name of father & rent also recived by father itself (son is co-oplicant for repayment of loan but he not a co-owner)

My doubt is can father take the interest while computing house propery income, saying that he is not sound in technology to do online transction?

Thanks in advance.

No, to claim deduction the interest must be paid by assessee.

Payment is piad by assesee only but its routing through son account and assess has the sufficent source to repay money.
