Input tax credit of entry tax in west bengal

  Dear Singh,

   As per your WB VAT Act no such provision is made to give input tax credit of entry tax paid. This was done under a special situation in Karnataka,for only purchase of vehicles,not as input tax credit but exemption from VAT for ET paid vehicles. Now this rule has been struck down by Court.....MJK

I hopeyou are asking about WB entry tax. If it is so, then, I think it is leviable.The entry says" Computer and its parts,including peripherals,printers and plotters.' in the schedule of WB Entry tax Act.....MJK
