To score more in itsm u have to be good at presentation of charts and steps, mention charts of points cleary so that examiner have clear idea about ur ans.
I would suggest prepare self notes and summary while studying from material.
Or the best you can do is teach itsm to your friend in that case you will work hard and will be able to retain matter for longer period.
