Don't you think that the content of IT in IPCC course is too much for a couse like CA? I mean at one point it looks as if I am doing rather MCA.Because according to me knowledge about Internet, practical application of softwares like Tally,Excel,Word,Powerpoint etc. is fine but what is importance of going into too much detailing of hardwares.I mean as a CA I should although have basic knowledge about hardware but how does it relate my profession,I think it's just overburdening the subject and making the book much heavier that's it because don't see any practical aspect of it regarding the kind of profession it is.More, the study material are way much outdated.Come on chapters like flowcharfs, decision tables etc. have no use in CA's profession.

This is the major lacking in CAs. Most of the student thinks why we need this subject. But dear, now everything is based on systems and to do smart audit you need to be well conversant with systems process, sytem development, etc. These things Institue has implemented in the MICS CA Final syllabus keeping in mind the current corporate world requirement. Institute has updated the syllabus inline with CISA.

If you look at IT Companies, you will find that they recruit CAs for their system development, system consultant because of excellent knowledge of finance and for that you need to know these things i.e. system process.

I have seen many students saying, this is not our area but to grow in this competitive world you need to know everything. Its not that old age of 80s and 90s where CAs were populalry known /recruited for Accounts and Taxation job. Now, every industry welcomes CAs because ICAI has updated their syllabus in line of the requirement of Industries. And because of this Indian CAs are higly preferred in the golbal market!!
