Dear sirs,

im working in a reputed audit firm and my CA final exams are in Nov 09. Im very interested in industrial training..also i will have 11 months article period pending after the exams.

In this regard, i require some clarifications for the following:

1. Is the notice to prinicipal prior to 3 months mandatory, i.e, failing which please let me know the consequences.

2. If the principal won't give permission for the same, what shall be the next step..please suggest me..

3. please list out the sectors where maximum exposure relating to financial management will be there.

hhi, Yes notice to CA is compulsory but its all between u and CA for this 3 months no filling is to be made so u can tell l8r also.

u can't do anything if ur CA denies, just request him and convience him regarding ur opportunities.

for exposue I think banking sector is good but it all depends the department u get.

It is mandatory for CA to give transfer for Industrial Training. To my knowledge, it also amounts to professional misconduct on part of CAs. I myself am a CA & shocked to understand from many students that some CAs dont give transfer for IT. However, it is upon the student to boldly approach disciplinary committe in ICAI & put forth the matter.
