Hi All
One of my client is doing industrial catering business ie, they have a kitchen on their own & cook in their place & supply the food to other Industries on contract basis. Is VAT applicable to this kind of Service ?
Adding to that at present the Industries are deducting Contract TDS on the bills raised by the client. If we get ourself registered with VAT will they continue deduct TDS or not.

VAT is applicabe for the sale of food on 50% value of bill.
As receiver of the catering service user needs to deduct VAT TDS irrespective of whether the supplier is registerd or not under VAT Act.

Is there tds deductible on remaining 50% bill? On other than VAT portion?
