Hi,
Respected members

I am Manreet CA final student residing in US have some querry regarding my Husband's Efiling of return. He is working in USA on a permanent job since may 2013 in US incorporation and earning salary around $75000 p.a no other indian income. He is filling US returns but in there any need to file indian income tax return as he got reminder from income tax dept. last year there was no income recieved in India as well as in US so he filled return with ZERO income. Dual taxation will apply to him or he should file with Zero income or no need to file return.
Please reply ASAP

Thanks.

If he does not have any income arising out of India during the previous year, then he need not file income tax return.

Ignore the message . No need to file the return. If you have any income in india then only you have to file the return. Even the nil is return is not necessary.
