Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies that individuals can still file a Nil Income Tax Return (ITR) for FY 2018-19 (AY 2019-20) using an extended deadline, which appears to be 31st July 2020. For Nil returns or income below £2.5 lakh, there is no penalty. However, if taxable income exceeds £2.5 lakh, a penalty of £1000 under Section 234F may apply. It also touches upon filing ITR 4 for proprietors versus ITR 3 with a balance sheet.
Yes... You can file ITR for FY 18-19 up-to 31st July-20 as per extended due date. No more penalty if Your Taxable income less than 2.5 laksh (also nil return).
