WHY THERE IS NO SCOPE IN INDIA TO FILE ITR 2 FOR INDIAN CITIZEN BY BIRTH AND NEVER TRAVELLED ABROAD AND EARNING 10 LACS? AS HE CAN SELECT FROM DROP DOWN MENU ONLY RESIDING IN INDIA FOR MORE THAN 182 DAYS BUT THERE IS CONDITION IN THE SECTION THAT HE MUST HAVE INCOME 15 LACS OR MORE?!!

Indian citizen can file ITR 2, even if he has income of Rs, 10 lakhs or less.

The condition of 15 lakhs is with different aspect.

You proceed to file ITR as Resident Indian...

Is there a clarification to the effect that the condition of 15 lacs is with different aspect? Don't you see the discrepancy in form?

That aspect is for ...........Resident but not Ordinarily Resident

It is not applicable to you.

For you tick over.......

Resident     You were in India for 182 days or more during the previous year [section 6(1)(a)]

Read residential status concept....u vl understand it....Form is alright but kindly check ur concepts....saying discrepancy in form looks silly..
