can independent director vacancy due to disqualification be filled in board meeting ratified and approved in ensuring board meeting?? can any body put their view

if a person is disqualified under section 164 he cannot be appointed as a director
I am not talking about disqualified director. can the vacancy be filled by selecting another qualified person as independent director in board meeting to be approved in ensuring GBM??

Yes a person can be appointed as addition director witj category independent. At the next AGM appointment to be rwgularisedby members by passing SR.
