One of my cilent received incometax notice dated 19.02.2016 for Non filing of return of income for A.Y. 2014-15 & 2015-16. Though he already filed return for A.Y. 2014-15 but did not file for A.Y. 2015-16. I am also attaxhing copy of notice, please suggest way forward so that my client is out of this situaton without any inconvenience.

File return of income for the A.Y. 15-16 & for A.Y. 14-15 you already have filed the return of income. Afterwards mail the required details in format as specified in the notice to the given email-id.

Please do not reply to this Letter without verifying that whether such Officer is present at the given address or not.
As this is the Fake letter sent by the some fraudsters. If you see carefully, This letter is printout letter and does not bear any original stamp and second when you verify the office address of income tax office and place of dispatch of letter is different.
Also you can see that the letter does not provide the PAN number of assessee. simple question here is how did the person sending letter come to know that client has not filed ITR , these fraudsters are trying to extract details.
As with this details , person can reset the password of Income Tax.
In this case i should not reply to this Notice now, First file the return and the reply?
