Income 'Under Process' for prolonged time

I filed my income tax on 5 May 2024.

Since 24 June 2024, my status is showing ‘Under Process’ (i.e., more than 2 months, now).

I have a huge refund of my TCS held with the Income Tax and I need this money badly.

Is this delay normal, or is this because I have a huge refund of TCS, and Income Tax usually would take longer time for such high refund cases?

Is there any use posting a Grievance?

I would highly appreciate experts’ valuable advice / opinion.

Generally ITR 3 or one with abnormalities in AIS report. and one with higher amount of refund takes longer time to get processed.

It is very normal, no use of posting Grievance at this point of time.

I filed ITR-2 (I am a retired Sr. Citizen, with income only from stock selling and bank interests) and the huge TCS (5% on amount remitted) is due to winding up in India and sending all the money through LRS to cover my living expense for my residential stay in the USA, with my daughter.

I understand it makes sense to wait.

I too had the same issue. it is due to Risk management aspect of pricessung.
will get a communication asking u for accepting it or revising it.
pls see action pending menu of sure for any junk mail or mobile nessage
