also my profile is not setup completely in the new portal. you may check your profile information.

My profile is updated. It seems the website is still work in progress/ updating. So it'll take time. We have to wait for some more time to file returns.

i have filed 2 returns ITR 1 and ITR 4

Have you downloaded ITR Return paper ? 
 

Selection of ITR Filling Type is inactive, Do I need to update any thing before proceeding ITR.

not working properly its very tuff to file...

IAM TRYING TO FILE ITR1 FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS TILL DATE, BUT AFTER RECEIVING  E-VERIFICATION OTP , IAM UNABLE TO SUBMIT  .

 

IT SHOWS "SOMETHING WENT WRONG.TRY LATER".

kiNDLY REPLY WHETHER  THE RNEW PORTAL  GOT STREAMLINED OR STILL UNDERGOING TECHNICAL ISSUES.TNX

 

The government has extended the due date for filing income tax returns for assessment year 2021-22 by two months, to September 30, 2021 from the existing deadline of July 31, 2021, while giving extension to tax audit and 12 compliance deadlines for FY 21 to provide relief to taxpayers due to Covid pandemic.

I was able to file ITR1 after facing a lot of issues. Spent 3-4 days continuously trying to file it online. The form is divided into many sections and after filling each section it takes a lot of time to "load" and sometimes it gets stuck.

I tried "save data" yet the data was not saved and I had to start afresh everytime the website got stuck. However the otp for e-verification was not generated. It's been more than a week since I filed but e verification is pending.

Some say that if e-verification alone is pending, then, instead of making e-verification through utility, you may e-verify through 'E-verify Return' under 'Our services' of the portal without logging in. You may try this.
