Yes. It is possible only u have reasonable cause for the same. And u have to file online condonation of delay u/s 119(2)(b) to commissioner. After he allows u can file returns for previous years.
You will have to apply to the Income Tax Officer the reason for delay. He may accept the condolence for delay or reject it.. Only if he accepts the condolence for delay he will give you a notice allowing you to file the return for previous year... Than only you can file the return u/s 119(2)b quoting the notice no.. For certain genuine reason he will accept the condolence.. Its upto the officer wether to allow or reject.. You can apply to officer if you have big amount of refund or other special circumstance.
