Income tax return has been selected under risk management process

The CBDT has rung alarm bells and has asked the Income Tax Department to go for a major assault as the direct tax collection target remains short of about 15 per cent, with the financial year closing less than a week away.

I helped one, my friends, to file ITR and he filed his return on 24/12/18 under after due date. The refund claim was 34K. The ITR has been processed successfully and he received the refund on 07/03/19.

And mine I filed on 8/7/18, but still my ITR not processed. What a tragedy.  

I think nothing will move for the next 2-3 weeks due to FY closing.
