How to proceed with filling of Income Tax Return if two companies are merged.
Does the Merged Company have to still file standalone return or it has to be done through the parent company.
It will appreciated if the answer is backed by qouting applicable law.

It should be filed as per respective companies but one consolidated financial statements of accounts should be prepared
