income tax payable by wife on property received from husband

The case here is of a husband whose income is approximately 8 lakhs per month which is taxable,

and for which he has paid full tax as per the rule.

From the taxable income for which he has paid complete tax he purchases a car in the name of his wife for about  5 lakhs and registers it in the name of his wife who is a retired employee and holding a PAN card but does not file income tax return

as the total income from the pension is far below the minimum taxable income. The doubt here is whether the

cost of the car is considered as ain income for the wife.
