Hi all,
I have paid income tax under wrong head through challan. I paid under 286 instead of 280. It's been 20 days. I have contacted local assessing officer and they are not able to see the tax credits. Neither its been showing up in 26as format. Please help.
No other way. You contact to the assessing officer. He only the responsibility for the assessment...

You have to give application to Assesing officer of TDS i think to change
