Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether an individual can revert to filing Income Tax Return (ITR) 4 for the financial year 2021-22 after having filed ITR 3 in the previous year due to booking and carrying forward losses. The consensus is that if ITR 4 was opted out of under Section 44AD in AY 2021-22, and the individual has business income (not professional income), they generally cannot file ITR 4 for the next five years and must continue with ITR 3, potentially requiring a tax audit report.

Whether he has business income or profession?

No ITR-4 can't be filed for next 5 years

he had only Business Income, not profession.

No. He has to file ITR 3 with tax audit report till next 4 years (totally 5 years), as opted out of sec. 44AD in AY 2021-22.
