I want to file individual income tax returns for 2015-2016 but they say the necessary eforms are not ready yet ? Is it true ? If so when will the forms be ready ? Thanks a lot.

it is already 24th May, the forms are yet to be online for AY 2015-16, sad state of affairs by I.T. Dept. who claims to have won PMs award, are they going to extend the 31st July deadline due to their delay.

Yes it is going to be a nail biting finish indeed. No one knows when the forms will be ready even now and it is already 29th of May 2015 ! It is like india pakistan match.

I am glad at least there is news that new forms would be available by end Jun'15, it is surely delay by IT dept. and therefore as expected extension of due date by a month. how about interest calculation on their account u/s 234 a,b,c etc.

I assume Forms2 and 2A are the most affected forms isn't it?
How about Form 4 etc ? Can the unaffected forms be released earlier for the benefit of the tax payers ?

In efiling statistics taken from income tax website it says 34173994 persons/entities have filed for Fy 2014-2015, so have they used the old forms ? If so what will happen to these already filed returns when NEW forms come up ?
They should write AY not FY. Also these must be for older years for late filers not the current AY as forms have still not been out.
yes the data displayed in IT website is wrong.
1) Last date for filing ITR-AY 2015-16 is already extended to 31st Aug. 2015.
2) Penalty for balance tax above Rs 10000 as per section 234-B & C will be applicable ? Last year I have seen that even after giving some tax thru self assessment tax mode in March,penalty for balance tax less than Rs 10000 was applicable in E-filing form
