if received abroad and paid in US$ then it would not be taxable in India. You can also approach your HR and confirm whether or not they are deducting any TDS on the salary abroad. Ideally, they shouldn't.
I think you should refer to the provisions of residential status of assessee. i depends upon status of resident. in case you are a non resident, then work outside as well as received outside ie in foreign currency, not taxable. in any other case should be taxable.
if u r resident in india as per the provisions of it act during the previous year the the ungome is deemed to be resudent in india and tacable in india
