Income from nsc

479 views 3 replies

Sir,

I have done a NSC last year. For this year I have declared the interest earned from NSC in my Form 16 but I made a mistake. I have only declared interest earned from NSC under section 80C & forgot to declare income from other sources(income from interest earned from NSC). Can I declare this amount in income tax return..??

Regards,

Manoj

Very sure.. You can declare that Amt in ITR directly.. Form 16 is not d final document for Income Tax purpose.. Whatever adjustments you missed in Form 16, you can incorporate them in ITR
