The formalities regarding registration of housing society are similar to formalities for any other entity. Turnover limit should be satisfied.
However, the maintenance charges collected upto Rs.7500/- is exempted from GST

Hlo, in case of housing societies, The condition of registration only arises when the aggregate turnover exceeds Rs 20 lakhs and monthly maintenance per member exceed Rs. 7500/-.
It has to satisfy both conditions... Otherwise not required to be registered.
