one more Important notice on Digital Certificates( SHA2)

If in case you are using Digital Certificate issued post 1st January 2012 (SHA2 Certificate), please ensure that you have

Windows Vista / Windows 7 installed / Windows XP

installed on your computer.

In case of Windows XP you need to download (Service Pack 3) SP3 in your System.

All users using below mentioned services on MCA21 are required to download JDK 1.6 updated version 30 from the following link Click here to download

> Any user logging on MCA21 using a DSC
.
> Any existing registering/updating a DSC
.
> Any new user registering using a DSC
.
This is required as part of the interoperability initiative of the Controller Of Certifying Authorities, India (CCA),for enhancing security for Digital certificates.

I am using Windows XP SP3 (32 bit). From this link I have downloaded 2 File

1. jdk-6u30-windows-i586.exe (Run and installed successfully)
2. jdk-6u30-windows-x64.exe ( unable to Run and Install)

However I was able to Login to MCA21 website using DSC.

My Question is : After installing new files, has anyone successfully Updated / Registered DSC RoleCheck ?

Earlier I got error as : Digital Signature verification failed or Your CA is not trusted.

When tried again I got Error as : You have already registered your DSC as Director.

The Reason may be I was trying to Register DSC again registered earlier, hence not necessary.

Any Comments / Suggestions : About anyone successfully registered New DSC / DSC Updated after installing this JDK 1.6 Update 30

Without Windows Service Pack 3 (SP3), you usually get an error while downloading the dsc.

The SHA-2 algorithm apparently uses mroe security while generating your digital signature and older machines/browsers are not able to download the same.

But guess there would be very few of us who would not be having Win XP SP3 or Win Vista.
