11 January 2012i am a manufacturer and my Raw Material is Aluminium and Copper Product. since past 20 year i purchased only within india. recently l know china is major country in aluminium products. Can I import of Aluminium and Copper from outside india or within india? which way is land cost will be lower? Suggest

in my personal experince CHINA is lowest price if you are a manufacturer exporter and Having a STATUS HOLDER CAN IMPORT and lower rate .
Advance Licence is best for your company.
Please Noted that:
An Advance Authorisation is issued to allow duty free import of inputs, which are physically incorporated in the export product. The underlying principal is to make available all kinds of inputs to an exporter free from duties and taxes.
b. Such authorisations are exempted from payment of basic customs duty, additional customs duty, education cess, anti dumping duty and safeguard duty, if any
