i want to import electronic items and mobiles from china and honkong.it will be delivered in hyderabad,andhrapradesh.
what will be custom charges ?
what is the procedure of importing goods ?

To import something, firstly you need an IEC no., to be issued by DGFT. After that you can import free items by filing Bill of entry. Rate of duty on the items you are planning is normally 7.5% BCD, 10% Additional duty, 4% SAD and education cess. Mobile phones are exempt from BCD. Look into the custom tariff for exact classification of your goods and rate of duty.
Import of re-furbished electronic items and mobiles are restricted. Keep this in mind.
