Dear Sir/Mam,

If I will import scrap material from outside country to India what all compliance we need to follow in India?

Also, we require Import Export license to Import scrap material in India?

Please reply as earliest. Thanks

Yes all the custom rules are applicable. you have to get iec code

Please infrom whichs crap do you want to import? becaus plastic scrap battery scrap and some other scrap are prohibited to import in India.So inform us which type of scrap you will import for advising .

Import of Copper wire scrap is free to import in India you need to have IEC and if you are a manufacturer you need to have Pollution control certificate.UBC aluminium can scrap is Free to import if the same falls in HS code 76020010 if falls HS code 76020090 it is restricted to import and for that you need to have import licence.
