Hi Sumit,
First of all you cann't presume that what will happen in 2010. You are right at your place but to understand GST you should have knowledge of basics relating to Sales tax and Service tax and for that you will have to read VAT and S.Tax laws.
WHAT IS GST AND WHAT IMPACT OF THIS TAX ?
GST is basically Goods and Services Tax ...........

Gst is not for abolishing Vat and service tax but to merge them in a single ACT.
That is very good idea..................all are waiting for the introduction of GST since 1984
but still nothing is happen.................
hope it will be implemented from 2010
