Agreement deeds 1535 views 1 replies
Dear Sirs,
Request your valuable input on legal provisions if the genuine owner of a land has lost the purchase deed
(Scenario 1: he might be able to trace a photocopy)
(Scenario 2: he does not even has photocopy)
(a) how can he protect his legal title?
(b) how can he prove his ownership and
(c) how can he sell the land and how to satisfy the prospective buyer?
Your valuable inputs will be highly appreciated.
Regards,

Dear Sir,

There are few alternatives in our complicated land management system:

1.You can apply for a authentic Title Deed  to the Revenue authority of the concerned area like RDO,Tahasildar,RI or the Village officer. There are different designated officials in different states.

2.You can appoint some Search officer to investigate the records of the Revenue Dept and give you recording of ownership in the Revenue records. But you have to give clue about the property details like revenue village, survey Nos,present custodian of propertyetc,.

3.You can also apply for the Non-Encumbrance Certificate for some period,say,15/20 years.
