Date of agreement can be any but should be before possession of property.

regarding Stamp Duty in Gujarat.... its levy varies on case to case basis. All rates are not in mind right now but for that you can refer rate chart of "Jantri" issued by sub-registrar office. From internet also you can access the same. search google for rates.
