Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the issue of mistakenly claiming IGST in GSTR-3B when it should have been zero. The user is seeking guidance on how to pay the wrongly claimed amount, ideally through DRC-03, but is unsure about the correct place of supply. The consensus suggests reversing the claim through GSTR-3B, though interest may apply if the ITC was utilised. Direct payment via DRC-03 for ITC reversal is not advised.

Reverse through GSTR 3B in that case.
But it's pertains to FY 17-18 , will be correct if I pay in next month 3B. If authorities send demand notice what section to be quoted for the same? pls help
Yes that's fine. I am not sure of section number. but practically this is an accepted mode of REVERSAL.

You can reverse in GSTR-3B and possibility of interest on such reversal may not be ruled out.
If you are need of any help you may contact me
In DRC-03 u cannot pay the ITC reversal can be made through the GSTR-3B . Further interest would be applicable if the said ITC is utilized for the payment of taxes.
