There isn't anything free of charge - you'll have to buy a book. Wiley IFRS 2008 is excellent, and can be ordered on their website.
By the way, your previous correspondant seems to have forgotten that IFRS doesn't just include IFRS1 to 8, but the remaining 29 standards labelled IAS 1 to 41 which have not been superseded by an IFRS!
