Iec query for software pvt. ltd. company

1055 views 12 replies

Hi, I've registered office in Andhra Pradesh and administration/development center in Bangalore for my pvt. ltd. software company. Now, I would like to apply for Importer Emporter Code. Regarding this, I've 2 queries
1)Whether I need to mention my admin/dev center in Bangalore as branch office or not. If I mention it as branch office then whether I need to take any approvals from Karnataka ROC?
2)Since I don't have internet banking with any of the banks listed in DGFT website can I use my friend's internet account to make a payment during filing of IEC application in online?
Thanks in advance.

as per anf-2a required information and submit in this form is mandatory as well as address proff such as copy of telephone bill, rent agreement .

yes can do...

Dear Ramesh Kumar Verma Sir,

Thanks for your reply.  Based on your reply, I've following queries:

1.) I'm planning to apply for IEC through online. I believe after successful submission of the form through online, I need to send/submit the physical application form duly signed (without any support documents as they are already submitted through online). Pls. correct me if I'm wrong.

2.) I was told by my CA that there is no need of informing Karnataka ROC or getting approval from it regarding my admin/dev office in Bangalore. In such a case if I mention admin/dev office as branch office in ANF-2A (IEC application form) then will there be any confusion for DGFT while issuing the IEC? Pls. let me know.

FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION I WISH TO INFORM YOU THAT DGFT HAVE REQUIRED ATTESTED COPY OF TELEPHONE BILL / RENT AGREEMENT /  , WHERE IS YOUR ADMIN OFFICETHEY WILL ISSUED IT .

IN MY OPINION, DO NOT CHAOS AND APPLY FOR ISSUANCE THE IEC ALONGWITH DOCUMENTS AS ABOVE MENTIONED.

REGARDS,

Hi Ramesh,

I went though complete guide :

https://dgftcom.nic.in/exim/2000/IECONLINEHelp.pdf

But it doesn't say anywhere that we still have to send the application by post even after submitting online.

Are you sure that even if we apply for import export online we have to submit it by POST as well. Our company is based in Hisar, Haryana.

Please advise. Also, how much agents normally charge for such services ?

Thanks,
Divya

REFER TO DGFT Policy Circular No.10 (RE-2010)/2009-14 Dated the 31st December,2010

PLEASE READ POINT NO.4

"The existing system of filing the IEC application manually would simultaneously continue till further orders i.e. the applicant will have an option to prefer his application either manually or “on-line” as per his/her convenience."

BUT IN OFFICE OF  DGFT DELHI SUBMISSION OF ORIGINAL DOCUMSNTS IS MANDATORY.

YOUR JURISDICTION COMES UNDER PANIPAT DGFT , PLEASE CONTACT MR. KULDEEP KHURANA , (AGENT) THEY WILL ASSIST YOU AT LOWER RATE.

REGARDS,

Thanks Ramesh.

Can you pass me details of Mr. Kuldeep ?

Thanks,

Divya

Hi Ramesh,

I went through same circular :

https://dgft.gov.in/exim/2000/cir/cir10/cir1010.htm

and it says :

Physical copy of application is not required to be submitted to the concerned Regional Authority(RA) in case of “on-line” applications.

Are their any exceptions (Panipat DGFT ? ) to this statement of the circular ?

Thanks,

Divya

Thanks Ramesh !

any idea if we still have to submit the documents physically by POST for that if the company is based in Hisar, Haryana and we apply for Import-export code online ?
