Pl can anyone tell me whether Bangar sir book for IDT has to be studied completely, because it is very much lenghty for st, i feel when i am doing st. what are the others opinion . pl let me know . that much detailed is necessary

Its a very comprehensive book which can fetch you good marks in IDT paper. Hence, thorough understanding of the subject is a prerequisite to score well in this paper. Ultimately its the quality of your answers that will help secure good marks.

Bangar Sirs Book is good. IDT is a lengthy subject it takes time to cover it. However I would like to suggest you something. You must prepare ST and Vat very well as these are relatively short topics and carry good marks, As per last few year patterns Ist Q ( compulsory one) is 5 numerical q of 5 marks each, so you should practice every kind of numerical q given in book very well, Case laws of 32 marks comes in paper so prepare latest caselaws very well. So the above portion covers 70-75 marks paper and you can be rest assured that there will be 5-10 marks of Q from amendments. All I want to say is cover the above mentioned topics first and then go for rest of excise and custom, Dont focus more on excise portion
