Jaydeep Narendra Shah became a member of the IAESB on January 1, 2012. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI).
A practicing Chartered Accountant, Mr. Shah forcuses on small- and medium-sized practices at M/s Shah Chari & Co. He is also the vice president of ICAI, where he was previously the chairman of Board of Studies, academic wing; vice chairman of several committees; and a Central Council member.
Since 2004, Mr. Shah has served as the chairman of the South Asian Federation of Accountants Committee on Education, Training & CPD (continuing professional development), which covers eight professional accountancy organizations from five countries, namely Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He is also member of the Nominations Committee of XBRL International.
Mr. Shah is a graduate of Nagpur University (India), where he was awarded the Gold Medal for Standing First in the Order of Merit in M.com. In addition, he served for three years as a member of the Board of Studies, Accounts and Statistics at Nagpur University.
