Icai membership

Dear Sir,

I have cleared my CA final group 1 in November 2015 and going to take group 2 in may 2016 and quite sure that I will clear. Now issue is I got admission into IIM and classes gonna start from June 2016 and my GMCS II is pending which is required to be done before applying for membership. So my query is in case I couldn't complete GMCS now than I will be able to complete it after 2 years. 

So can I apply for membership of icai after 2 years?
