Dear Friends,
This article is in respect of our Institute's participation at the recently concluded 25th Annual Conference of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) held by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) & Practising Accountant Chartered Students Society (PACSS) from 5th April to 10th April, 2011 at the prestigious Hotel Galadari - Colombo, Sri Lanka.
I, alongwith 7 other students from various parts of India, represented ICAI and India at the said Conference. Students from Pakistan & Nepal - other member countries of SAFA also participated.
It was quite a knowledge enriching experience for us where we all discussed the issues concerning the economic, financial and overall development of our countries and the South Asian region as a whole. Adding to that, we also were able to enjoy the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka - a wonderful country with extremely hospitable people.
To sum it up, the trip will always be one of the most cherishable memories of our life. A brief article alongwith our group photo was covered in May'11 issue of 'The Chartered Accountant Student'.
